2018 Season

Our 2018 Season is coming together and will include concerts across Tasmania over the following dates. Mark them in your diary; consider a 2018 Season Ticket. Early birds can buy a 2018 Season Ticket - any six concerts for $120.

Mar 16 to 19 Harp and Strings with Meriel Owen, harp; Repertoire including Handel Harp Concerto and Albinoni Adagio
May 5 to 6 Violin Viola Duo : Miranda Carson, violin and Douglas Coghill, viola; Repertoire including Handel-Halvorssen Passacagliah
May 23 to 30 Clarendon (Piano) Trio : including Jonathon Bekes (TSO’s brilliant new cellist) Repertoire including Ravel, Beethoven E flat, Haydn E minor, Mendelssohn C minor Piano Trios
June 8 to 11 Clarinet Quintets: Andrew Seymour, clarinet, Yue Hong Cha, Frances Davies, violin, Douglas Coghill, viola, Martin Penicka, cello; Repertoire: Brahms and Mozart Clarinet Septets
Sept 6 to 9 Harp plus! Musicians including Meriel Owen, harp, Jennifer Owen, violin, Andrew Seymour, clarinet; Repertoire including Ravel Introduction and Allegro for Harp, clarinet, flute and string quartet, Debussy Danses Sacree et Profane for harp and string quartet.
Oct 6 to 7 Much Ado About Contrasts! Meriel Owen, piano, Andrew Seymour, clarinet, Jennifer Owen, violin; Repertoire: Korngold Much Ado About Nothing, Suite for Violin and Piano, Bartok Contrasts, for violin, clarinet and piano, Poulenc Sonata for clarinet and piano.
Dates TBC Matt Ives and Friends; Repertoire including Bolling Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio
Dates TBC Maybe a baroque special leading into the Festive Season.
